304 Stainless Steel Wire Thread Inserts

Wire thread inserts are coil-shaped threaded inserts made from stainless steel wire. They are installed into a tapped hole to create a stronger internal thread, especially in softer base materials where direct threading may wear or strip over time. They are also used to repair damaged threaded holes and restore the original screw size.

These inserts are commonly used in aluminum parts, mechanical equipment, molds, automotive components, maintenance applications and metal assemblies that require stronger thread engagement. After proper installation, the insert helps distribute load along the thread and improves resistance to wear caused by repeated assembly.

We can supply metric and inch wire thread inserts in different lengths, including 1D, 1.5D, 2D and custom lengths. Tang type and tangless type inserts are available. Materials such as 304 stainless steel and 316 stainless steel can be supplied according to corrosion resistance requirements. Installation tools can also be matched upon request.
