Terminal blocks are used to facilitate the connection of wires. They are essentially metal plates encased in insulating plastic, with holes at both ends for inserting wires and screws for tightening or loosening. For example, if two wires sometimes need to be connected and sometimes disconnected, terminals can be used to connect them and disconnect them at any time without soldering or winding them together, which is very convenient and quick.

They are also suitable for interconnecting large numbers of wires. In the power industry, there are specialized terminal blocks and terminal boxes filled with terminals-single-layer, double-layer, current-carrying, voltage-carrying, standard, disconnectable, etc. A certain crimping area is used to ensure reliable contact and the ability to carry sufficient current.
